Experience “Wonderland” with the park’s premier tour company
There is no better way to see, sense and enjoy the world’s first national park in winter than on cross country skis. Yellowstone Vacations specializes in facilitating ski trips to a wide variety of Yellowstone attractions, offering packages that combine ski adventures with snowcoach tours and lodging. Come learn about the Park’s wildlife, history, and thermal features while trekking in the breathtaking splendor of America’s most famous sanctuary. Enjoy the world class Rendezvous ski trails (30K+) at West Yellowstone, or spend a couple of days exploring the many trails in the Yellowstone’s quiet northwest corner. Our Brandin’ Iron Inn (across the street from Yellowstone Park) is centrally located for easy access to these natural retreats, offering WIFI, free hot breakfast, and hot tubs. Perfect for a long weekend or full week of skiing exploration!
Flexibility is paramount in our ski trip scheduling. Many factors help decide each day’s adventure and your professional guide will evaluate conditions to ensure a safe and memorable day of skiing. Weather conditions, wildlife protection, skier abilities and other considerations all play a role in trip planning. You and the guide will work together in planning your Yellowstone ski adventure!
We offer a variety of trips on groomed and skier-groomed trails. You should be prepared to break trails. Skinny skis (race skis) are not recommended. Yellowstone National Park sets a ski track on each side of the groomed snowcoach/snowmobile trails offering us interesting opportunities for ski drops and long distance touring. Most of our ski tours include segments of our regular interpretive snowcoach tours with guided walks to geysers, mud pots and hot springs. Wildlife…of course!

Want to maximize your limited ski time in Yellowstone? We provide drops and pickups as part of our daily snowcoach service on specific routes. Visit with our guest service representative or your tour guide to discuss options.
Private Ski Tours
Charter one of our warm and comfortable snowcoaches for a full day of skiing with one of our Park ski guides or go on your own and we’ll transport you to and from your trailhead. Your trip will be carefully designed to match your areas of interest and skill level.
Yellowstone is such a wonderful, unforgettable place. We look forward to helping you visit and appreciate it as much as we do!
